`55 Bel Air Sport Coupe: “Lemon Aid” Wins a “Best of Show” Award!

On August 17, 2019, our `55 Chevrolet Bel Air sport coupe was entered in its first judged points competition at the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (VCCA) Eastern National Meet in Morgantown, PA at the Classic Auto Mall. “Lemon Aid,” as we call it, achieved a VCCA “First Junior” award in its class. Perhaps more importantly, our car was awarded “Best of Show – 8 Cylinder Era”, which includes all 1955 through 1994 Chevrolet full-size passenger cars, Corvettes, Chevy IIs, Chevelles, Camaros, and other non-commercial models. Given that there were about 25 other high quality cars from that era at the meet, this was a huge thrill and an unexpected result!
