Earlier this year, my client engaged me to appraise his newly acquired 1968 Dodge Dart GTS two-door hardtop, which was sold new at “Mr. Norm’s” Grand Spalding Auto Sales, Inc. in Chicago. This Dodge dealership was well known for stocking a large selection of high performance models as well as modifying its customers’ vehicles during the 1960s and early 1970s. My client’s GTS was ordered by a customer with the optional “big block” 383 cubic inch V8, a four-speed manual transmission, a “Suregrip” limited slip differential with 3.91:1 gears, front disc brakes, and bucket seats. Finished in black with a red interior, this striking vehicle underwent a high quality restoration with the added aftermarket aluminum wheels to finish it off. A beautiful, hot little car!
