This beautiful, one-owner 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray sport coupe had a lot going for it. Special ordered by a well-known recording industry producer, the vehicle had the optional “L82” 350 cubic inch V8, “M21” close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, Positraction rear differential with a 3.73:1 gear set, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, tinted glass, and leather interior, but no radio! The odometer also had only 21,000 miles on it. Alas, it is no more, having been totally destroyed by one of the wildfires that swept through Southern California last year. Hence, the owner’s attorneys engaged me to determine the vehicle’s pre-fire value by examining available photographs and original factory and dealer-issued paperwork, and learning more about its care and treatment over the years. Another “forensic” appraisal!
