My client was selling his very low production 1937 Cadillac V12 touring sedan and engaged me to conduct a pre-purchase appraisal and inspection at the request of a prospective overseas purchaser. The car was restored approximately ten years ago and included some modern upgrades, a color change, and an expensive, full rebuild of its V12 engine. As part of my assignment, I test drove the car and experienced the silky smooth operation of this rare power plant. Based on the 125 photographs I took, the findings in my 20 page report, and a long distance phone call, the interested party decided to purchase the car and have it shipped to his home…in Lithuania!
