`18 Chevrolet Colorado LT Pickup: Damaged and Repaired, but now has “Diminished Value!”

My client, the original owner of this 2018 Chevrolet Colorado LT extended cab pickup truck, was stopped and waiting to make a left turn when he was rammed from behind by a new full size pickup truck. Ouch! His truck sustained over $15,000 in damage and required 20+ hours on a frame machine to pull the chassis back into spec. However, as a result of the damage, repairs, and permanent record of the collision, the vehicle suffered “diminished value.” Armed with my diminished value appraisal report, my client was able to negotiate an additional $4,500 payment from the other driver’s insurance company.
