My long-time client asked me to appraise his recently re-restored 1969 Dodge Charger, which is a faithful recreation of the “General Lee” hero cars used in The Dukes of Hazard television series that ran from 1979 to 1985 on the CBS network. Although the vehicle was damaged in an accident several years ago, the quality of the fresh restoration was outstanding. Powered by a built 440 cubic inch V8, Torqueflite automatic transmission, and Dana 60 rear end, the vehicle was also equipped with air conditioning and all of the unique “General Lee” features, including a period-correct Cobra 77X CB radio. Very cool!
