My out-of-state client recently engaged me to conduct a pre-purchase appraisal and inspection of this excellent “recreation” of a 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS two-door sedan. Dressed as a big block 396 cubic inch V8, it actually sported a “built” 454 V8 backed by a Muncie M-21 close ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 12 bolt Positraction rear differential with 3.73:1 gears. With minimal exterior trim, “dog dish” hubcaps, and redline radial tires, this car really wore its “sleeper” vibe very convincingly. But on the street, hold on tight because its performance was super strong!
