My local clients recently engaged me to appraise their 1956 Dodge Power Wagon. A ground-up restoration, this one-ton, four-wheel drive pickup truck featured front and rear power take-offs, a front-mounted Braden winch, a rear-mounted belt drum pulley, a Laycock overdrive, a very rare King Seeley variable speed engine governor, and several subtle modifications, including power steering. Even with a flathead six-cylinder engine rated at only 111 horsepower, these trucks were known for their ruggedness and brawn.
