My clients recently engaged me to appraise their 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible, which they purchased from the original owner in 1975. Equipped with the optional 327 cubic inch 300 horsepower “small block” V8 engine, Muncie M20 wide ratio four-speed manual transmission, and Positraction rear differential with 3.36:1 gears, the red-on-red convertible was repainted twice during their period of ownership. It was time to sell the vehicle so the clients needed my advice on a supportable asking price for this “driver quality” C2 era Corvette.
