`04 Chevrolet SSR: Super Sport Roadster!

My client recently engaged me to conduct a full pre-purchase examination and appraisal of this 2004 Chevrolet SSR two-door, two-person convertible pickup. A “halo car”, it was a limited-production, high-performance model intended to showcase Chevrolet’s engineering and innovation, and attract attention to the brand. The vehicle was fully loaded and equipped with a 5.3 liter 300 horsepower aluminum alloy V8 engine with sequential port fuel injection, a Turbohydramatic 4L60E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, a 10 bolt Positraction rear axle and differential assembly, power rack and pinion steering, power four-wheel antilock disc brakes, electronic traction control, 19×8-inch front and 20×10-inch rear painted aluminum alloy wheels, and a power retractable hardtop.
