Recently, I was engaged to conduct a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection and appraisal of this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach I fastback, which was equipped with a 351 “Cleveland” V8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission. My client flew in from Texas to accompany me as I closely examined the four major vehicle areas, and then performed a full operability check and a ten mile road test. An older restoration, the car was still very attractive with its black exterior and red interior, and ran and drove very well.
